引言

2020年初，大規模新型冠狀病毒肺炎疫情在武漢爆發。疫情發生後，國家迅速展開應急響應，打響了針對新型冠狀病毒肺炎的疫情阻擊戰。全國各族人民在以習近平同志為核心的黨中央集中統一領導下，按照堅定信心、同舟共濟、科學防治、精準施策的總要求，用各種方法馳援武漢、築牢防線，全力投入到這場抗擊疫情的戰鬥當中。

為讓外文學院學子能夠正确、客觀看待本次疫情，保持積極向上、理性平和的良好心态，同時也能夠讓同學們及時學習黨和國家在“戰疫”過程中的安排部署，了解一線醫務人員、基層工作者等“戰疫”勇士的感人事迹，我院團總支組織了“學習習近平講述的故事”為主題的疫情專題線上活動。

活動要求各年級學生在班裡自主開展線上學習交流，并推薦優秀英文心得上報。本次活動邀請了黨員教師陳樹坤老師對優秀心得進行評定和指導工作。

學習成果

各班以不同的形式開展了心得交流，在同學們的反饋中，我們感受到了大家參與該活動的熱情：

作為新時代的中國青年，我們應該培養承擔重大責任的能力。

President Xi complimented the young medical workers who have been fighting the novel coronavirus disease on the front line and making contributions in places where the Party and people need them most. At this crunch time, public health security is a universal challenge confronted by humanity, and all countries should make joint efforts in combating the epidemic. What I have learned is as Chinese youths in the new era, we should foster our capacities to shoulder great responsibilities. A nation will be instinct with vitality and thus have a prosperous future when its younger generations have ideals, talents, and a strong sense of social responsibility.

多難興邦，困難使我們更堅強，每一個中國人都有義務和責任盡我們所能為祖國做貢獻。

Thoughts after watching the video called "Xi Jinping tells a story"

In the past two months, we have been given a great deal of information about the condition of COVID-19 through various sources every day. After the online course started, we also had several systematic learning sessions organized by our school.

The first thing that came to my mind was the Chinese idioms which can be interpreted as "much distress regenerates a nation". Difficulties make us stronger. In the time of crisis, I believe every Chinese has the duty and responsibility to do whatever we can to contribute to our motherland.

During the outbreak response, for example, health care workers and scientific researchers have been working day and night risking their lives, so that they deserve the highest respect from all of us. Besides the front-line workers, there are also many ordinary people who stick to their posts and do their best to contribute to the epidemic prevention and control work.

When a crisis occurs, we are less eager to get something from others and more focused on "what I can do for you". This is neither hypocrisy nor catering, but the deep heart of the need for love.

Compared with them, as college students, what we can do is limited. On the contrary, during this period, we can even fully enjoy a variety of high-quality education resources provided by our school and country. Precisely because of this, we should keep a more positive attitude and shoulder the great responsibility of the times entrusted to us by our motherland. Let's study hard and live well so that we can constantly improve our value and strive to be a useful person in society.

The more important thing we need to focus on now is that the epidemic has already spread around the world. We should realize the importance of respecting life and nature. I hope that all of us can learn from this tragic disaster and live in harmony with nature in the future.

這是一場沒有硝煙的戰争，中國的速度和措施無一不體現了中華民族的強大力量。

We are all fighters

Due to the novel coronavirus, we, all Chinese, are fighters. And this is a war which is without guns, bombs, or smoke but with virus, doubts, fears, rumors, and discrimination. Thankfully, in this tough time, we as a brave nation, just keep fighting. In this battle against the epidemic, THE CHINESE SPEED has won precious time for the whole world to respond. THE CHINESE STRENGTH has enacted strong defense lines to stem the spread of the epidemic. And THE CHINESE PRACTICE has set a new standard for the outbreak response. In this outbreak, our motherland has made great efforts for the health of the Chinese people. I am convinced that in the spring, when the flowers bloom, we will win this war!

盡管我們曾經處在烏雲和黑暗之中，但是經過不懈努力，終會迎來萬物複蘇之日。

When the days are cold.

And the cards all fold.

And the saints we see

We used to be despair.

We dared not breathe

What an imminent peril!

Medical workers came

to do a favor.

With measures taken

by the governors,

China is getting better and better.

Now some counties are

We should never

solve the dilemma.

不知道讀到這裡的你是否能夠感同身受，這份家國情懷實在令人難以忘卻。疫情面前無小我，在全國人民的共同努力下，疫情已得到有效控制。願早日迎來勝利的一天，願早日春暖花開。
